Tools

Deutsch contact removal tools are used to release installed pins and sockets from compatible connector housings during repair, repinning and harness servicing. The correct extraction tool depends on the installed contact size and connector system.

Filter below to narrow the range by Tool Type, Contact Size and Wire Size. The current range includes contact-removal tools for common Deutsch contact sizes including Size 4, Size 8, Size 12, Size 16 and Size 20, plus the DT-RT1 contact and wedgelock service tool.

If you are unsure which tool you need, use our Deutsch Connector Tool Guide. For step-by-step removal instructions, see the Deutsch Connector Pin Removal Guide.

Choose the Right Deutsch Contact Removal Tool

Choosing the correct Deutsch contact removal tool starts with the contact installed in the connector. Identify the contact size first, then confirm the exact contact and connector compatibility before selecting an extraction tool.

Contact size is particularly useful for narrowing the range. Common Deutsch systems use different contact sizes: DTM commonly uses Size 20 contacts, DT commonly uses Size 16, and DTP commonly uses Size 12. Heavy-duty connector configurations can also use Size 8 or Size 4 contacts depending on the exact assembly.

Some contact sizes have more than one removal tool available, so contact size alone should not be treated as a universal compatibility guarantee. Use the Wire Size filter and individual product specifications to refine the selection where required.

For detailed tool-selection guidance, read the Deutsch Connector Tool Guide. If you already have the correct tool and need removal instructions, follow the Deutsch Connector Pin Removal Guide.
