DTP Series Connectors

Deutsch DTP Series connectors are sealed rectangular connectors designed for higher-current power circuits. The DTP Series commonly uses Size 12 contacts and is primarily available in 2- and 4-position plug and receptacle configurations.

Filter the range by number of positions, connector style, contact type, keying and mounting configuration to identify the correct DTP housing before selecting compatible contacts, wedgelocks and related assembly components.

If you need a general-purpose connector using smaller Size 16 contacts, browse the DT Series. For compact signal and sensor wiring using Size 20 contacts, explore the DTM Series. You can also compare all three in our DT vs DTM vs DTP guide.

Choose the Right Deutsch DTP Series Connector

Choosing the right Deutsch DTP connector starts with the number of circuits required. Standard DTP housings are commonly available in 2-way and 4-way configurations, so select the position count first, then confirm whether you need a plug or receptacle housing, the required contact type and any keying or mounting requirements.

DTP Series housings commonly use Size 12 contacts. The exact contact and wire compatibility should still be checked against the individual terminal specification before assembly. Once the housing is selected, complete the connection with compatible contacts and terminals, wedgelocks and any required seals and accessories.

DTP is intended for higher-current rectangular connections where the smaller DT or DTM contact systems are not the right fit. For technical background on the family, read DTP Series Connectors Explained. If you are still comparing families, use the DT vs DTM vs DTP comparison guide.
