DTP Plugs and Receptacles

DTP connector part numbers commonly distinguish between receptacle and plug housings. Before ordering, confirm the exact mating configuration, contact type and any suffix-specific requirements on both halves of the connection.

DTP Size 12 Contacts

DTP connector housings use the Size 12 contact system. The housing configuration determines whether compatible pin or socket contacts are required, while the exact terminal must also match the wire being terminated.

2-Way and 4-Way DTP Connectors

DTP housings are available in 2-position and 4-position configurations. Match the position count on both connector halves and select the corresponding DTP wedgelocks and contacts.

A 2-way housing should be paired with the compatible 2-way mating configuration, while a 4-way housing requires the corresponding 4-way configuration.

DTP Connector Mounting and Variants

DTP housings are available in different installation and product variants, including inline and suitable flange-mounted configurations. Extended suffixes can identify changes to sealing, mounting or other product-specific features, so verify the complete part number rather than relying only on the DTP04 or DTP06 base.

DTP Connectors vs DT and DTM

DTP is part of the same broader sealed rectangular connector ecosystem as DT and DTM, but the families use different contact systems and are intended for different circuit requirements. DTP commonly uses Size 12 contacts, while DT commonly uses Size 16 and DTM uses Size 20.
